Our teenagers aren't growing up in the same world that many of us grew up in. Our young people are being exposed to things at earlier and earlier ages. Therefore, it is the aim of our student ministry to equip our students to live in a world that is sometimes hostile to the faith.
Bible study
We offer Sunday morning Bible study (from 9:00-10:00am) for our students, and we also offer a Sunday evening student gathering (6:00-7:30pm) where our students can share fellowship with each other (e.g., playing games and eating snacks), and they also have additional time to devote to Bible study and the application of those Bible lessons into their lives.
Fun Nights
Our students have a monthly fun night that we call SNYF (Saturday Night Youth Fellowship). As the name suggests, our SNYFs typically take place on the first Saturday of the month. Our SNYFs sometimes take place on our church campus, and sometimes we pile in the church bus to go and enjoy some time elsewhere.
Summer Camp
Our students also have the opportunity to get away for a week in the summer for a "youth camp." Sometimes these youth camps are focused on mercy projects (e.g., painting or yard work at an elderly person's home), and sometimes these youth camps are focused on Bible study and having fun.
Baptism
We treat the baptism of children with special care and want to help parents walk through the process with their children. If your child expresses interest in baptism, please set up an interview with our elders so we can help you determine next steps.
